At a recent annual fishing contest, family and friends gathered on Firemen's Lake to take part in the fun and festivities. According to fire department volunteers, many of the brave fishermen and women, old and young, are amateurs who seldom fish except for the contest. Which doesn't prevent them from enjoying themselves tremendously — and maybe catching a prize-winning fish.
