Rainwater gardenOne of three
rainwater gardens in the Big Back Yard, this one is located on the
railroad and river side. The gardens help drain urban landscape of rushing
rainwaters. Water-loving plants here include purple
moor grass and marsh milkweed, "a very pretty and fragrant
flower," says Hamilton, "that butterflies love, especially
monarchs." |
