TMDL implementation plan reports

To monitor progress in cleaning up the Minnesota River, the MPCA — and the Met Council Environmental Services — will rely on reports made by certain coalition partners and on estimates of what other parties are doing.

• Wastewater treatment facilities — send discharge reports to the MPCA
• Counties — survey and estimate septic systems that discharge directly into rivers and streams
• Permitted communities —submit Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans to the MPCA once every five years
• Agriculture — MPCA is devising method for estimating acres of BMPs that farmers adopt
